Tuesday Tutorial (Gable Box)

How to Make a Gable Box

You will need: 
One 8" x 11" piece of Card-stock, Paper Cutter with scoring tool, adhesive, Scissors, Snow Swirled Stamp set, Almost Amethyst Ink and A4 cardstock, Lovely Lilac Ink and A4 cardstock, Chocolate Chip Ink and A4 cardstock, Wide Oval Punch, Corner Rounder, double rectangle punch, embellishments.

Step 1:
Score 11” side of cardstockat 1/2", 3 1/2", 5 3/4", and 8 3/4".
Step 2: 
Score the 8” side at 2 1/2" and 6 1/2"
Step 3:
Fold the bottom of the card stock (the portion with the short scored sections) under and stamp across the exposed area of card stock.
Step 4:
Cut each score line up to the intersecting score line to create flaps as shown.
Step 5: 
On one edge of the card stock, you’ll have 1/2” flaps. 
Cut off the two 1/2" flaps on the ends, leaving the center flap.
Step 6:
Place Sticky strip on stamped side of 1/2" flap
Step 7:
Place Sticky Strip as shown in below image on the non stamped side if the card-stock

Tuesday Tutorial (Double Rectangle Punch)


Double Rectangle Punch
OK how many of you have looked at this weird punch and thought what the..... is that for. well I'm about to show you this punch is actually one of my favorites and at only $13.50 what a bargain! and once you see what it does you'll want one to so here we go
Have you ever wondered how people get perfect bows like these.....

and perfect knots like these...

Step one: Once double rectangle has been punched take a long peice of ribbon and thread it through to the back as showen in image below.

Step Two: Thread ribbon through other slot to look like this. Both right and reverse side shown.

Step Three: On reverse side cross ribbon over ready to thread back through slots.
 
Step Four: Thread Ribbon back through slots as shown in below. Both reverse and right side shown. Stop here and cut off excess ribbon if you are just wanting a knot or continue on to complete a bow.

Step Five: Now on right side thread ribbon back through the slot it just came out of, so don't cross over as in previous steps and don't pull tight leave 2 loops as shown in image below.

Step Six: On reverse side cross over and thread through slots as shown.

Step Seven: Turn over and adjust till bows are even then trim excess congratulations you  can know make perfect knots and bows!!!!!
